Survey APIs compared: Culture Amp, Viva Glint, Workleap Officevibe and Workday Peakon
By Zak Fenton, Alltoogether · Published 28 September 2026 · Every vendor claim checked against the vendor's own documentation on 28 September 2026
On 28 September 2026, none of the public API documentation for Culture Amp, Microsoft Viva Glint, Workleap Officevibe or Workday Peakon described a way for another platform to run their surveys inside its own product.
That is a statement about what their documentation covers, and it is narrow on purpose. All four are strong tools for an organisation surveying its own people, and their APIs do what they are built for, which is moving data between their product and yours. This page records what each API does today, in the vendors' own words, with a link and the date we checked. If a vendor's documentation changes, the row below is out of date; tell us at hello@wellbeingengine.io and we will update it.
At a glance
| Vendor | What the public API does | Access | Survey inside another product? |
| Culture Amp | Reads data out. "One-way outbound data retrieval only; data ingestion is currently not supported." Survey responses come through the Reporting API. The Reporting API is on subscriptions that include Engagement or Effectiveness. | Not described in the documentation we checked. |
| Microsoft Viva Glint | Exports survey response data. Microsoft describes export APIs that "programmatically export survey response data". | "Currently available through a limited private preview for approved customers" (post dated 2 September 2026). | Not described in the documentation we checked. |
| Workleap Officevibe | Reads data out. The Officevibe API "allows you to get data and insights from Officevibe". | Workleap's pricing page lists API access on its Pro and Enterprise plans. | Not described in the documentation we checked. |
| Workday Peakon Employee Voice | Adds, updates and removes employees, and reads engagement scores and survey answers. It exposes "a subset of the functionality of the Peakon platform used for building custom integrations". | No plan condition stated on the pages we checked. | Not described in the documentation we checked. |

What the Intelligent Wellbeing Engine does differently
The IWE is built for the case these APIs do not cover. Your product shows a three-question check-in in one iframe, or drives it through the API, and reads organisation-level results back. Each result carries a 95% confidence interval, and a result for fewer than five people cannot be stored. The embed quickstart shows the whole integration. It is a narrower tool than any of the four above and does not run engagement programmes, action planning or 360 reviews.
